On this page you will see several examples of how you might use a wiki page with adult learners. Feel free to add your own ideas! (Each idea is separated with a Horizontal Line and begins with "Heading 1" format. Please continue to use this style for consistency.)
Example 1: Link to exercises
Hello students!
Today we are studying the past tense. Please complete the following exercises. When you finish, leave a comment on this page. In your comment, tell us if the exercises were too easy, just right, or too difficult.
This week we have been learning about places in New York City. Please watch the video about the Statue of Liberty. Repeat the video as many times as you need to understand. Then, leave a comment below. In your comment, answer the following questions:
1) What does the Statue of Liberty mean to you?
2) Would you like to visit the Statue of Liberty? Why or why not?
Leave your comment below. Thanks!
Example 3: Writing Assignment
Hello students!
For your writing assignment this week, write about your favorite place in Minneapolis. Your favorite place might be a park, a restaurant, a store, a library, a museum, your school, your home, or any other place you like to go.
On your wiki page, write at least one paragraph describing your favorite place. Why do you like it? When do you go there? What do you do there?
When you are finished writing your paragraph, read one of your classmate's wiki pages. Write a comment to your classmate about his or her writing.
