What is Quia?
Quia (pronounced kee-ah) is an online, subscription-based service (a teacher account costs $49/year) that allows you to create interactive exercises of a variety of types, such as cloze, matching, jumbled words, and hangman. Quia allows you to upload audio and image files to use in your exercises. With Quia you can also make quizzes and class web pages where you can organize your exercises. All Quia's features make use of simple templates, so users can create professional-looking exercises without programming or html skills. (Although if you have some knowledge of html, you can stretch those templates to make them even more powerful.)
Here are some examples of Quia exercises for adult ESL learners:

How can I do this?
Quia is designed for educators, so you don't need to be a tech expert to use it. You can teach yourself by signing up for a free 30-day trial at www.quia.com/web and using Quia's tutorials and help files.
